How many times have you typed help me get pregnant into Google looking for the answer?

Hi there, my name is Phoebe Alexander and I have created this blog to try and share some of my facts, tips and anecdotes I have learnt in my 16 years of having children.

I actually have seven kids, 3 boys and 4 girls.  I would still like more and I have that yearning that simply won’t go away.  You may think well what does she know about the pain of not being able to have kids, but I do know that powerful urge to have your own baby and the joy that comes when the pain of labour stops and you have that little bundle of joy in your arms and strangely enough I have many people who have dropped by and ask me for advice and tips on how I get pregnant (without stating the obvious!).

It is as you might imagine a subject that really interests me, and when you look at the odds of conceiving, one sperm out of millions making that journey to the one egg in the only 24 hours it is viable in a 28 day cycle, it is surprising that conception happens at all and so over the years I have researched and am attracted to any articles on getting pregnant that might be useful and I have found some interesting things about how to conceive.

I cannot vouch for the ‘scientificness’ of what I write here but I only put things on here that I think when I have read it ‘actually you know what that makes sense’.  Sometimes the devil is in the detail, for instance did you know that having an orgasm actually helps the sperm along their way!  See what I mean (see my Hints, tips and anecdotes page).

I absolutely know the joy of giving birth to a healthy child (and now the agonies that come with teenagers but that is another blog in the making!) and I want try and share my thoughts as just another mother to see if I can help at all.  I constantly look around the internet for things that can be of use, so I will update this blog from time to time with things I think may be of use to you.
